A main principle in
establishing Contract Teams is maintaining a single point of
contact throughout all of the phases of the project. The contract
team is appointed at the earliest possible time, thereby ensuring
continuity and involvement in the key decision making processes
from concept to completion.
Each of the contracting teams is led by a Contract Director
to ensure that the company's objectives in delivering a quality
service and product to its client remain constant.
Early involvement allows the Contracts Teams to bring their
buildability expertise to the Pre-Contract procurement activities.
The Contract Teams will plan, programme and report on all the
necessary procurement activities necessary to achieve an effective
start date. This attention to detail in the procurement stage
becomes the platform for the control and monitoring of the on
site installation phase of the project.
The Contracts management will be conducted by industry qualified
and experienced Projects Managers and Projects Engineers who
retain responsibility for project delivery on time to high installation
standards. Quantity Surveyors employed within each team control
financial management. They manage the Project finances including
the production of cost forecasts from order to final account.
Each of the Contract Teams receives head office support from
the Human Resources, Information Technology, Accounts, CAD,
Tools & Plant and Transport departments allowing the Contract
Teams to focus their efforts and attention to the project objectives.
Skilled Supervisors, Trade Foremen and a qualified workforce
ably support the Project Management team in providing a quality
installation.
